About me

I am a licensed hiking guide and tour leader in Italy and founder of While in Italy. I was born and raised in Tuscany and I’ve been living in Liguria for almost twenty years, working with small groups of tourists, couples, or families with kids for daily and multi-day private tours in Tuscany, the Cinque Terre National Park and Portofino’s natural reserve.

All itineraries are tailor made to suit the client's style and wishes, following the idea of matching high standard and local authenticity. Experiences at family-owned organic farms and fine wineries where you can taste excellent wine, extra virgin olive oil, seasonal products, homemade bread and cheese and other local specialties.

Travelling has always been my great passion and it is a great pleasure for me to be part of your journey while you discover the beauty of Italy.

I will welcome you with a smile and open arms.

I like listening to the sound of the sea and the silence of the forest, enjoy evenings with friends, good food and wine, walk on the seashore at sunset, meet people from all over the world and talk about my wonderful country.

Anyone visiting Tuscany for the first time, especially the countryside, will be impressed by the beauty of the rolling hills with avenues of cypress trees, the vineyards and silvery olive groves, and the harmonious villages and towns. This region has even more to explore than most visitors will ever discover, with mountains that are covered in wild flowers in spring and a beautiful winding coast that has an archipelago of enchanting islands, the excellent gastronomy, with its famous truffles, mushrooms, cheeses, and the exceptional wines and extravirgin olive oil.

The narrow land famous as the Italian Riviera, is Liguria, the home of pesto, the delicious basil sauce. This small region tucked between sea and the mountains, is well known for the mild climate, the breathtaking views, its spectacular cliffs and hidden coves, the terraced hills and the colorful seaside villages, including Camogli, Portofino, Portovenere and the five that make up the picturesque Cinque Terre, that have been attracting visitors for a long time.
